The Ukrainian army was expected to launch a major offensive against the Russian invaders in April. However, the leak of the US plans to help the Kyiv administration has raised curiosity about when the attack will take place! Remarkable statements came from a senior Ukrainian figure about when the great offensive will begin.
Ukraine was planning to strike the last blow to Russia, which occupied its territory, in the spring. The big offensive plans were overturned by documents leaked from the USA. The leaked documents contained all the plans made to Ukraine, as well as many important documents regarding the attack plan. After the documents were revealed, it was wondered whether Ukraine’s major offensive plans would be canceled. The emergence of the plans could have been a disadvantage! But it was not! Ukraine’s counter-attack plans, which were only rumors before, became a reality with the leaked documents!
Russian leader Putin, who did not know where Ukraine would attack, was driven to more panic. Putin set up anti-tank traps and barricades on the beaches in Crimea against possible Ukrainian attacks.
The Ukrainian army, which started to receive more help from Western and European states, has already crossed the Dnieper River! So, when will the counter-offensive of the Ukrainian army begin? Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal answered this question.
Speaking at the coronation ceremony of Britain’s new leader, King Charles, Shmyhal said that the offensive is “very important” and will begin at the “right time” for it to “show success”.
Shmyhal said:
“We are preparing very carefully because it’s a very important operation and we understand that we should demonstrate success in this operation to our society, to our partners, to all the world [and] to our enemy. […] We will begin…when [it] is proper time, when it will be absolutely ready… we will begin counter-offensive immediately when our military and political leadership will make the decision. I’m sure that the most important victory day for Ukraine will be victory day over this terrible Russian aggression – full-scale aggression – against Ukraine.”
