Wagner Group Boss Yevgeni Prigozhin’s statements against the Kremlin administration continue to shake the world agenda. Prigozhin recently said that Russian commanders escaped from Bakhmut. The Ukrainian army released a video confirming these allegations.
Wagner Group Boss Yevgeni Prigozhin’s announcement that he would withdraw from Bakhmut dropped like a bomb on the agenda! Bakhmut was a very important settlement for Putin. So much so that Putin was planning to seize Bakhmut and advance the occupation from here to the depths of Ukraine. For this, he relied on his close friend Prigozhin, a businessman and the boss of the mercenary group Wagner. Helpless in the face of the Ukrainian army’s successful defensive tactics and heroic struggle, the soldiers of the Wagner Group suffered thousands of casualties. The battle in Bakhmut lasted so long that Prigozhin and Russian Defence Minister Sergei Shoigu came face to face! Prigozhin began to harshly criticize the Kremlin leadership for not receiving ammunition from the Russian army! Making a statement in front of the dead Wagner Group soldiers, Prigozhin announced that they will now withdraw from Bakhmut! Continuing his criticism of the Kremlin administration, Prigozhin also said that the 72nd Separate Motorised Rifle Brigade of the Russian Armed Forces escaped from Bakhmut.
Prigozhin’s statements were confirmed by the Ukrainian army. The 3rd Separate Assault Brigade of the Ukrainian army published a video on its social media account showing the escape of Russian commanders. In the video, it is seen how Russian soldiers fled without even looking back.
Prigozhin’s statements are also included in the video. The Ukrainian army used the following statements in its social media post: “Prigozhin’s report about the escape of the 72nd Separate Motorised Rifle Brigade of the Russian Armed Forces from the vicinities of Bakhmut and the “500 corpses” of Russians who remained there is true. The 3rd Assault Brigade is grateful for the publicity of our success at the front.”
