Bakhmut became a key point in the war between Ukraine and Russia. This highly strategic territory has become the grave of Russian invaders. For the sake of Putin’s goals, 100,000 Russian invaders died in and around Bakhmut alone!
The war in Bakhmut is escalating day by day! Wagner Group Boss Yevgeni Prigozhin’s announcement that he would withdraw from Bakhmut dropped like a bomb on the agenda! Because Bakhmut was a very important settlement for Putin. So much so that Putin was planning to seize Bakhmut and advance the occupation from here to the depths of Ukraine. For this, he relied on his close friend Prigozhin, a businessman and the boss of the mercenary group Wagner. Since the beginning of the war, thousands of Wagner Group soldiers have fought in Bakhmut! Helpless in the face of the successful defense tactics and heroic struggle of the Ukrainian army, the soldiers of the Wagner Group suffered a lot of losses.
The war in Bakhmut lasted so long that Prigozhin and Russian Defence Minister Sergei Shoigu came face to face! Prigozhin began to harshly criticize the Kremlin administration for not receiving ammunition from the Russian army!
Finally, Prigozhin made a statement in front of the dead Wagner Group soldiers and announced that they will now withdraw from Bakhmut!
After Prigozhin’s statements, eyes turned to Bakhmut. Serhii Cherevatyi, the spokesman for the Eastern Grouping of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, reported the latest developments in Bakhmut.
Stating that the invaders made more than 400 artillery and rocket attacks throughout the day, Cherevatyi said that more than 120 invaders were killed as a result of the clashes. He said 64 enemy soldiers were wounded. Cherevatyi also announced that a Russian T-72 tank and an enemy ammunition depot were destroyed.
The most striking in Cherevatyi’s statements were about enemy losses. Cherevatyi said that about 100,000 Russian invaders had been killed in Bakhmut in the last nine months. This is even more than Russia’s total troop losses!
Cherevatyi said: “But these are rough calculations. I am sure that further verification will only show an increase in this number. This is natural as the enemy uses the so-called meat assaults as the main method of waging war.”
According to the latest statistics, since the beginning of the war, the Ukrainian army has successfully killed more than 190,000 Russian invaders!
