Russian invaders, who continued their attacks on Ukrainian territory in the directions of Bakhmut, Avdiivka, and Marinka, increased their attacks on the cities liberated from occupation in recent days! Russian invaders carried out air strikes on civilian residential areas, especially Zaporizhia, Odesa, Kharkiv, and Nikopol, with unmanned aerial vehicles. In these attacks, infrastructure facilities were damaged and many buildings caught fire! Russia’s targeting of civilians mobilized the Ukrainian army! The Ukrainian Air Force has managed to destroy dozens of Russian drones in recent weeks!
The Russian invaders, who attacked the settlements with Iranian-made Shahed-131 and Shahed-136 drones, faced the successful defense of the Ukrainian army. The Ukrainian army, which managed to shoot down more than 20 Russian drones in the past weeks, destroyed 9 more drones!
In the statement made by the Ukrainian Air Defence Forces, two Lancet model drones were used in the attack of the Russian invaders. Ukrainian Air Defence Forces made the following statement:
“As of 18:00 on April 24, nine enemy UAVs were destroyed: six Shahed-136/131 strike drones in the eastern direction – in the area of responsibility of the East Air Command and three in the area of responsibility of the South Air Command – two Lancet strike drones and one operational-tactical level UAV,”
The Ukrainian army also destroyed a Russian kamikaze drone over the Kharkiv region.
