Soldiers of the Special Operations Forces (SSO) of the Armed Forces of Ukraine carried out an operation against Russian invaders in the grey zone in the Donetsk region! Ukrainian SSO soldiers were ordered to destroy Russian equipment in close proximity to enemy positions! After crossing mine and explosive barricades, Ukrainian soldiers reached armored vehicles. These vehicles were a Russian T-72 tank and a BMP-1 armored vehicle!
Inside the Russian armored vehicles were important documents, weapons, and communication equipment! Ukrainian SSO soldiers blew up the Russian T-72 tank and BMP-1 armored vehicle after taking important documents and weapons belonging to the invaders!
The Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine said the following about the operation:
“The enemy equipment was located between the positions of the defence forces and the Russians – 150 metres from the enemy. This area was clearly visible to enemy observers. Nevertheless, a combat group of the Ukrainian Armed Forces moved into the grey zone with an order to destroy the Russian equipment. And the Russian T-72 tank and BMP-1 were blown up right in front of the enemy.”
To date, the Ukrainian army has managed to destroy a large part of Russia’s tank fleet. In the first nine months of the war, Russia lost 50 percent of its key pre-war tank fleet. So much so that Russia’s total tank losses have reached 4,000!
